Casio CDP-100 Digital Piano Review by Cathryn Rhodes
| My Overall Rating: |
Available on Amazon.com for $349.99
The Casio CDP-100 88-Note Weighted Hammer Action Digital Piano is an mid range keyboard that supplies the realistic sound and feel of an acoustic piano for a fraction of the price.
Whilst lacking some of the more advanced features of more expensive digital pianos the Casio CDP-100 has everything you could need for recreational use, and with its portability and functionality it should serve you well for your music needs.
The Good:
- Weighted hammer keys have very realistic piano feel
- Good acoustic sound
- Affordably priced
- Sustain pedal is actually included instead of being an optional extra
- Very functional despite not having all the features of a more expensive keyboard
- Portable – very handy!
This digital piano is currently on sale with a 46% discount on Amazon.com through this link
The Bad:
- The speakers aren’t the best – a good quality pair of headphones is recommended
This digital piano is great for:
- People who want a digital piano that has the feel and sound of an acoustic piano
- People who want something affordable for recreational use
Let’s look at some of the features:
- 88 Graded hammer keys for real acoustic feel and sound
- 3 levels of touch sensitivity plus ability to switch sensitivity off
- 5 tones, 32-note polyphony, 8 digital effects and 5 demo songs
- Headphone jack so you can play without disturbing others
- MIDI capable
- Transpose and layer functions
- Sustain pedal included
The Bottom Line:
Overall, the Casio CDP-100 Digital Piano is a great keyboard if you don’t really need all the bells and whistles of the more expensive digital pianos. It still has all the basic features you’re looking for but at a fraction of the price. So if you’re looking for a digital piano for home use that still has that acoustic piano sound and feel then this is a good all around keyboard for you.
If you want to buy this digital piano I highly recommend you buy it through Amazon here. You won’t find it cheaper elsewhere!
ACTUAL USER FEEDBACK:
Jean,
“This keyboard is excellent for the price. It’s more basic in its functions but it has the sound and feel of an acoustic piano, same as some of the more expensive digital pianos.” Paraphrased for size – Read Original Here.
