| My Overall Rating: |
Available on Amazon for $899.95 here.
The Casio PX-800 Privia Digital Piano with Weighted Scaled Hammer Action Keys has a real grand piano sound and feel to it, which is great compared to many of the other digital pianos on the market which are just a little too digital. The weighted touch sensitive keys allow you to play a full range of realistic sound, just like the real thing. This is a great package.
The Good:
- Very realistic acoustic piano sound – not digital
- Small enough to fit nicely in your house
- Easy to assemble and fairly lightweight
- Stylish -looks good in your living room
- Uses state of the art technology to give it the sound and feel of a real grand piano
- Record your performances to listen to again
This digital piano is currently on sale with a 25% discount on Amazon.com
The Bad:
- Foot pedal bar is plastic and a bit light (pedals themselves are quite sturdy though)
This digital piano is great for:
- Anyone who wants a digital piano for recreational use
- People who want a digital piano that has the feel and sound of an acoustic piano
- People who are a little more serious about their music and want a top quality digital piano
Let’s look at some of the features:
- 88 full size, hammer action, weighted keys
- State of the art engineering gives it a real acoustic, natural piano sound
- Touch sensitive keys for acoustic feel and sound
- Acoustic resonance effect – reproduces the harmonic resonance present within a real grand piano
- 162 tones and 82 songs built in
- Expanded song memory with an SD card slot for storage of songs you download
- USB/MIDI so you can download music off the internet to learn
- Custom wooden stand with damper and soft/sostenuto pedals
- Headphone connections and stereo out so you can connect to other equipment
The Bottom Line:
Overall, the Casio PX-800 Privia Digital Piano is simply one of the best digital pianos on the market. All the technology that has gone into it has given it a very authentic grand piano feel and sound. It’s everything you could want and at a reasonable price too. With the PX-800 you’ll feel like a master pianist.
If you want to buy this digital piano I highly recommend you buy it through Amazon here. You won’t find it cheaper elsewhere!
ACTUAL USER FEEDBACK:
Mark Heneghan,
“I looked all over the internet to find a digital piano that was small enough for my house but still performed to a high level and looked nice. I am happy with the PX-800, everything about it is quite authentic, with no digital sound. All in all this is a great purchase and I would highly recommend it” Paraphrased for size – Read Original Here.
